Real Appeal in the News

Ra In The News Jan2020

Everybody’s talking about Real Appeal® this year, and for good reason!

Recently, two members of the Real Appeal family shared their amazing weight loss journeys with a national audience in People and Men’s Health magazines.

Crystal Benes, of Indiana, recently told People that she used Real Appeal to help her keep off the staggering 175 pounds she shed while participating in a local weight loss program. She joins Real Appeal alum Scott Leopold, who appeared in People last year, and talked about how working with Real Appeal helped him keep off 193 pounds.

Like Benes and Leopold, George Ranson can attest to the power of Real Appeal. He recently opened up to Men’s Health about his stunning weight loss with the program. Suffering from high blood pressure and chronic knee and back pain, Ranson signed up for Real Appeal with his wife. Over the course of a year, he lost a whopping 110 pounds, and started running marathons!

Way to go, George, Crystal, and Scott! Here at Real Appeal, we’re rooting for you — and for the rest of you out there, working hard.

Real Appeal’s sister program wins CDC recognition

Finally, we’re proud to share a new achievement for our sister program, the Real Appeal Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). In January, the Real Appeal DPP was awarded full recognition from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The recognition means that the Real Appeal DPP meets the CDC’s strict standards, offering proven, science-backed diabetes prevention counseling.

Like our core Real Appeal personalized online weight loss program, the Real Appeal DPP teaches participants how to adopt healthier habits through small, simple, achievable lifestyle changes. The Real Appeal DPP expands on our core program by offering additional tools that help users prevent or reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

To gain CDC recognition, diabetes prevention programs must meet stringent criteria. Accredited ones feature CDC-approved curricula, use trained lifestyle coaches, and offer participants a robust, yearlong coaching experience. In other words, only programs with proven chops earn full recognition. If you’ve received a prediabetes diagnosis or are interested in losing weight, learn more here.
